The Inspiring Journey of Manoj Kumar Jain: A Life of “Seva and Sahyog”
Some people look at politics and see power, but a rare few look at politics and see a way to serve humanity. Manoj Kumar Jain belongs to that rare group. Born on February 23, 1969, in Delhi, his life story is not just about holding titles; it is a beautiful, motivating tale of a man who turned his deep love for his country and his religion into a lifetime of action. From the crowded streets of Delhi to the grand halls of Bharat Mandapam, this is the story of a social worker, a leader, a businessman, and a true servant of society.
The Roots of Patriotism and Discipline
Manoj’s story begins in a family that wore its love for the nation proudly. His father, Shri Mahesh Kumar Jain, was a staunch supporter of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Growing up in this environment, young Manoj learned the meaning of Rashtra Bhakti (national devotion) and strict organizational discipline early on. These childhood lessons became the very foundation of his character.
A Setback That Became a Stepping Stone
With a burning desire to do good on a larger scale, Manoj joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), dedicating over 30 years of his life to the party. In 2003, he took a big step and contested the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections from the Minto Road constituency.
The 2003 campaign was just one chapter in his story; what followed showed his deep-rooted strength. He realized that a seat in the assembly is only one way to help, and instead, he doubled down on his ‘Seva Aur Sahyog’ philosophy, proving that you don’t need an official designation to be a hero for the community. He shifted his focus entirely to grassroots social work, adopting the life motto: “Seva Aur Sahyog” (Service and Cooperation).
His organizing skills shone brightly during the 2014 elections when he spearheaded the “Sahyog Modi” campaign, setting up a massive tea stall that served over 25,000 citizens. Today, his dedication to the city has earned him the role of a Nominated Municipal Councillor (Nigam Parishad) in the MCD, where he works tirelessly to improve civic services and infrastructure.
A Heart That Beats for the Helpless
If you want to know who Manoj Kumar Jain really is, look at how he responds when disaster strikes.
When a devastating earthquake hit Gujarat in 2001, leaving thousands homeless, Manoj did not just send prayers. He helped form a committee and physically coordinated the construction of over 250 houses for displaced families in Rapar, Gujarat.
Years later, when the dark clouds of the COVID-19 pandemic covered Delhi, he was back on the frontlines. Through his NGO, ‘Sahyog Delhi’ (which he founded in 2013), he organized continuous food distribution for 56 days straight. He also provided “Arsenicum Album 30” immunity boosters to the brave frontline workers of the Delhi Police. Beyond emergencies, he runs Shradha Sadan in UP, an old age home that gives shelter and vocational training to the underprivileged. He also mentors the youth to become leaders of tomorrow as the President of the Tarun Mitra Parishad.
The Business Leader Behind the Scenes
What makes his social work even more impressive is that he balances it all while running a highly successful business empire. Manoj is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ultrawalls, a premier Indian wallpaper brand. Under his leadership, a business with a 30-year legacy has grown to include a network of over 200 distributors, reaching more than 70 cities across India. He proves that you can be a sharp, successful entrepreneur and a kind-hearted philanthropist at the same time.
Creating Spiritual History
At his core, Manoj is a deeply spiritual man, guided by the Jain principles of Ahimsa (non-violence), Aparigraha (non-possessiveness), and Atma Shuddhi (self-purification). As a Director of the Bhagwan Mahavir Deshna Foundation (BMDF), he has taken the teachings of Jainism to the global stage.
In October 2025, he achieved something truly historic. He spearheaded the “Mera Namokar” initiative, producing a stunning devotional film.
For the first time in Indian history, a former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, alongside his family, was featured reciting the sacred Namokar Mantra. The video was unveiled at a grand event at Bharat Mandapam, bringing tears of joy to the audience and promoting a universal message of peace.
The Journey Continues…
Manoj Kumar Jain is not a man who rests on his past achievements. Taking his spiritual mission even further, he recently served as the main organizer for the massive “Mere Mahavir 3.0 Mahavir Katha” held at Bharat Mandapam on April 5, 2026. This incredible event once again proved his unmatched ability to bring thousands of people together in the name of faith and unity.
