About Manoj Kumar Jain
Manoj Kumar Jain is an Indian political leader, social activist, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and spiritual administrator based in New Delhi. Born on 23 February 1969, he has built a multifaceted public life that combines municipal governance, grassroots social service, cultural preservation, and interfaith spiritual initiatives. A dedicated member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he currently serves as a nominated Municipal Councillor (Nigam Parishad) in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), where he is actively involved in civic issues, community welfare, and public outreach.
Deeply influenced by a family legacy of nationalist thought and public service, Jain’s approach to politics is rooted in the philosophy that “service to society is the truest form of politics.” After contesting the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections in 2003, he broadened his focus beyond electoral politics and strengthened his engagement in civil society through institution-building. He founded Sahyog Delhi in 2013, a non-governmental organization working across education, healthcare, disaster relief, women’s empowerment, and support for underprivileged communities. Under his leadership, the organization has played a notable role during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic and earlier disaster rehabilitation efforts.
Alongside his social and political work, Manoj Kumar Jain is a prominent Jain community organizer and Director of the Bhagwan Mahavir Deshna Foundation. Through this platform, he has contributed to the preservation and promotion of Jain philosophy, spirituality, and cultural heritage. His most high-profile cultural initiative, the “Mera Namokar” project, gained national attention for featuring former President of India Ram Nath Kovind and his family reciting the Jain Namokar Mantra, marking a historic moment in India’s spiritual and cultural landscape.
Jain is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of UltraWalls, one of India’s leading wallpaper import and décor brands, reflecting his ability to bridge business leadership with public service. Across his diverse roles, he consistently emphasizes the Jain principles of ahimsa (non-violence), aparigraha (non-possessiveness), and atma shuddhi (self-purification), positioning them as ethical foundations for modern society.
